Media Advisory - Press Conference - Dream Catcher Express Offers Amazing Opportunity to Enjoy Northern Scenery and Hospitality TORONTO, Aug. 19 /CNW/ - The inaugural voyage of the Dream Catcher Express, an exciting train excursion between North Bay and Temagami, is fast approaching. Operated by Ontario Northland as a special 100th anniversary of rail initiative, the Dream Catcher Express will enjoy a limited run of just 9 days - September 22 to 25 and September 28 to October 2, 2005. In partnership with local hospitality operators, the Dream Catcher Express will offer passengers a variety of unique experiences including the romance of rail travel, vibrant fall colours and a sampling of aboriginal culture. Ontario Northland and its partners, the City of North Bay, the Town of Temagami and the North Bay Chamber of Commerce, will join to reveal the exciting variety of activity options available to individuals participating in this excursion at a press conference being held: Tuesday, August 23, 2005 10:00 a.m. At The Station, 100 Station Road (off of Seymour Street) in North Bay Mayor Vic Fedeli of the City of North Bay, Deputy Mayor Bill Kitts of the Town of Temagami, Mark King, 2nd Vice President with the North Bay Chamber of Commerce and Steve Carmichael, President and CEO of Ontario Northland, will be on hand for this event. Background The Dream Catcher Express will leave Ontario Northland's North Bay Station at 10:00 a.m. each morning (September 22 to 25 and September 28 to October 2, 2005), for a captivating 100 km journey northward to Temagami. Passengers will have an opportunity to delight in the explosion of red, orange and yellow covering the forest from the large viewing windows and in the comfort of spacious passenger cars. The City of North Bay, the Town of Temagami and the North Bay Chamber of Commerce, along with tourism stakeholders in both communities, have partnered to develop a myriad of opportunities to engage and delight visitors. Once in Temagami, passengers will have an opportunity to enjoy a variety of lunch options, and either tour on their own or take advantage of a number of fascinating activities, including:
