Visitors to the Marten River Provincial Park are offered a variety of activities and services including camping facilities, children's programs, guided tours and exhibits. Hiking trails, which become cross country skiing trails in the winter months, wind through the majestic forest . Marten River Provincial Park has recreated an authentic old Logging Camp within the park. Walk through at your own pace or join in the park's annual logging days in July. Step back in time when timbering was done by men and horses.

Stay awhile and choose from a host of accommodations, whether it be a hotel or your own comfortable cottage at a lodge or resort in the vicinity. Restaurants, gift shops, groceries, gas, licenses, post office, bait and tackle, hunting and fishing guides are among the many small businesses that help make Marten River a one stop destination.

The vast expanse of sparkling lakes, rivers and streams nestled among the seemingly endless amount of forest landscape provides excellent fishing for walleye, northern pike, bass, perch, whitefish and trout species. Volunteers operate a local fish stocking program to ensure the population of these species is protected in our waters for many future generations.

Cross country skiing, snowshoeing, dogsled adventures and ice fishing are all popular activities for winter enthusiasts. Several of our resorts have winterized cottages or rooms in which to stay.
